Overview
Our local guide will introduce you to Turin's role in Italian identity and its culinary heritage shaped by 800 years of Savoyard rule. The tour begins at a historic café where you'll enjoy Bicerin, a traditional chocolate drink still loved in 19th-century cafés. As you visit key landmarks, you'll discover the city's history. Next, you will move on to a cozy place, where you will have a lesson about fine chocolate, with exquisite dark chocolate made from just 10% of the world's finest cocoa, all 100% organic and “bean to bar.” You will then sample traditional chocolates like Gianduiotto and Cremino. Gianduiotto, made from finely ground hazelnuts and chocolate, has a rich history dating back to the 19th century when cocoa was scarce. Then, you will enjoy a wine tasting featuring two iconic Piedmontese wines, paired with an organic meat and cheese platter. Your guide will teach you about the aromas and nuances of each wine for a professional tasting experience.
