This tour is guided by someone who was born and raised in Rocinha and has spent over a decade walking these streets with visitors. The difference isn’t access for the sake of novelty, but context. Instead of scripted stops or dramatic framing, the focus is on how the favela actually works: its layout, daily routines, social dynamics, and history as a living neighborhood. The route follows places that make sense locally, guided by familiarity rather than performance. Because this is a locally guided, small-group experience, the tour moves at a human pace.
