Driving the winding road to reach this charming stone cottage perched on a hillside will feel like you're headed to the back of beyond, but the trek is worth it to experience the menu of creative Southern-style "mountain" cuisine. Selections change seasonally, but the menu always features fresh, local produce, fish, beef and some wild game options like emu, elk and bison. When the weather is nice, the terrace is a primo spot to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail. Reservations are required to enjoy the full dinner menu. Without one, dining options are limited to the hors d'oeuvres on the bar menu. Hours vary during the winter months so be sure to call ahead.
