Hotel doors were locked when we arrived. I had called the hotel desk to tell them our flight was delayed. They never mention the locked doors nor gave us any specifics about entry. We had to pound on doors and go all around the building which had about 25 homeless men who ended up following us as we tried to gain entry. Luckily a couple came out and we were able to run to the door before it closed. The desk staff offered no apology. The bathroom had a nber of issues with the plumbing. On checkout we were charged $70 more than the estimate. They said there was a $27 fee that was not included. They reduced the charges by $40. By then, we just left as we had to board our train.
Spent the weekend at this beautiful train station in the Crawford Hotel. This is so cool being directly in the station made everything convenient, plus this trip was all about trains just for my 90 year young Dad. This station is beautiful both inside and out. Very impressive how this is Denver's hub for ALL transport. Amazing! Amtrak, Rocky Mountaineer, RTD commuter train, busses -- this place is so amazing. Clean and comfortable, with security that makes sure this is safe, secure and keeps this a family friendly environment. Enjoyed lovely walks each morning and felt safe, comfortable, plus met some nice people. The eateries are great also.
