Costa Del Sol Ramada Lima Airport

It's not the first time I spend one night at this hotel in order to rest in the middle of a long trip. However, it's the first time something really weird happened to me. When we arrived, the girl at the desk, Janette, told me there was a reservation of 2 rooms (it was a double room what we had reserved), then she asked if a relative was staying too because the previous day somebody with the same surname had checked-in at the hotel. Afterwards, she said the site Expedia had charged already the price to the card we left while doing the reservation so I had to pay only the Peruvian tax. She didn't even say how much was it, I asked several times how much was the total amount and she kept saying I should call Expedia. However, we didn't even have an Expedia account, we made the reservation through AAA site. Then, she charged the tax, but she insisted she didn't know the total, so how did she calculate the tax??? She asked her other colleagues several times because she didn't know how to do her job. I asked for the invoice of the total amount, she said she couldn't do it for the total, she could make an invoice only for the tax. That was completely absurd, but she kept saying, ask for the invoice to Expedia. Anyway, it was around 5am when we entered, we were very tired due to the delayed flight we previously had, we ate something and went to rest because we had to leave before 12 to catch our next flight. At 11 she called to the room saying checkout was at 12 and if we want to stay more time, she would charge another night to my card. This was completely weird, impolite, and unnecessary since I had already told her we would leave before 12. It never happened to me in any of the hotels I've been around the world. I asked again for the invoice, she repeated the Expedia story so I asked to talk with the manager. I went down to the reception and another girl, Luisa, told me a completely different thing, she said there was no other reservation in my name or surname and she did the invoice for the total amount without any problem. So why Janette couldn't do the right thing from the beginning and behaved so nasty with us??? I don't know, but certainly she's not the kind of employee that should be working there. As this is the only hotel at the airport, travelers had to accept anything, but it's not my case. So I hope other travelers pay attention to these details to avoid uncomfortable situations like this.

Staff was helpful rooms are clean and it makes life easy if you are traveling to other cities in Peru because the airport is so close.
