Campground Overview
Ruffit Park is a campground located on 24832 Rock Falls Road in sterling, IL.
Check In
Check In Time: 2PM | Late check-ins will not be accepted without prior approval. Please come to the main building to sign off on rules and regulations before proceeding to your site.

Speed limit
Speed limit 5mph
Visitors
All visitors must leave the campground at 10:30 pm. Visitors and guests must be registered at the office and there will be a visitor fee of 5 dollars a day.
Pets
Non aggressive dogs are allowed. Must be on a leash at all times Must be picked up after Cannot bark incessantly Are not allowed on the beach or in the store We have the right to refuse any animal at anytime
Campfires
Campfires are only allowed in the fire rings
Firewood
No out of state firewood allowed at the campground
Fireworks
No fireworks allowed
Cancellations
Camping is an outdoor experience. Therefore we do not give refunds due to discomforts of nature. We cannot be held responsible for weather, illness, work schedules, or other situations and therefore enforce are cancellation policy regardless of circumstances.
Supervision
This is a family campground and we reserve the right to refuse groups or teens who are not properly supervised

Golf Carts
Only golf carts are allowed at the campground and must be driven by someone who is 16 years of age or older. Golf carts can not be loud. NO dirt bikes, side by sides…ect…
Cars
2 cars per campsite, any additional vehicles will need to park in a designated area. No additional trailers other than campers can be parked at the camp sites.
Photos
Entrance onto Ruffit Park constitutes permission of management of Ruffit park to photograph the visitor while on the premises and to use any resulting pictures for any lawful purposes without compensation the visitor.
Risk
The guest assumes all risks and dangers incidental to the activity of camping in a rustic outdoor environment including (but not exclusively), the danger of being injured by insects or other animals, of swimming or kayaking.
Sites
Campsites must be well maintained, neat and orderly. Seasonal campers will be responsible for mowing around their camper and personal items. Grass must be kept 5” or less.
Beach Rules
1.No dogs on the beach 2.Swim at your own risk 3.All children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult 4.Life jackets are recommended 5. No smoking on the beach 6.Please keep the beach clean for everyone to enjoy, no throwing trash in the water.
Drugs
Marijuana and drug use prohibited
Noise
Excessive Noise, Foul Language, Loud or Obnoxious Behavior is not permitted at any time. Anyone creating a disturbance will be asked to the leave the park without a refund.
Children
All children must be back to their sites by 10pm
Quiet Hours
Quiet time is from 10pm to 7am on weekdays and 11pm to 7am on weekends
