Campground Overview
Introduction
Oregon Inlet Campground has 107 sites and is open year round. Camping on a barrier island provides a chance to take in the power and nature of this special place. Listen to the breaking ocean waves while staring up at the night sky filled with stars. Walk along the sandy beaches during the day and share stories with friends at night. RV hookups are available at select sites. Running water and flush toilets are throughout the campground.

Oregon Inlet Campground is located along NC-12 south of the town of Nags Head on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Rates & Fees
Camp Site
Daily camp site fee. Each of the three loops in the campground have a bath house with flush toilets, potable water, and unheated outdoor showers. Each campsite has a paved parking pad, picnic table, and charcoal grill. There are no hook-ups for RVs onsite. A dump and water fill station are located directly across Highway 12 at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. There is a limit of 6 persons per site, a maximum of 2 cars, or 1 car and 1 trailer, and a maximum of two tents. Check-out is by noon.
Group Site
Camping for groups of 7–30 people is available. This site must be reserved at least two weeks in advance by calling 252-441-0882, and can be reserved up to twelve months in advance. Group camping is $70 per night, including infants and toddlers, and passes do NOT apply.

Wood fires are not permitted in the campground. Only charcoal cooking fires are permitted in a grill, stove, or other self-contained unit.Regulations Overview
Camping is permitting only at designated campgrounds. Check-out time is noon. No more than two vehicles (pop-up camper is considered a vehicle) and six persons may occupy a single site. Parking space for extra vehicles is severely limited, so plan accordingly. If you must bring more than two vehicles, make arrangements to park your extra vehicle outside the park or purchase an additional campsite. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, camping is limited to 14 days. The campgrounds are located on the ocean side separated from the beach by barrier dunes. Soil at all the campgrounds is sandy; therefore, longer than normal tent stakes are recommended. There are no shade trees. Mosquitoes may be a problem, so netting and insect repellent are recommended.Accessibility

Wheelchair users can follow the paved loop roads and access two of the three comfort stations via concrete paths and ramps. Door thresholds are equipped with 12.5-inch-long ramps that vary between 13% slope and 15% slope.

There are three accessible-designated campsites. They are located on grassy terrain with a grill and picnic table. None has a designated tent site, but one includes an RV hookup. Though all sites are relatively flat, some include more uneven areas, including around site features such as RV hookups and grills. Paved loop roads and concrete walkways to two of the campground's three comfort stations provide firm paths of travel. A single accessible shower is located near the comfort station on Loop C. The showers nearest the accessible-designated campsite on Loop A lack a bench, grab bars, and sufficient space to maneuver a mobility device.
