From Estes Park, take CO Highway 7 south for 20 miles. Longs Peak Road will be on your right with signs for Longs Peak Ranger Station and Longs Peak Campground.

Longs Peak Camping Fee

The fee to camp at Longs Peak Campground is $30 per site, per night. There are no flushable toilets and campers need to bring their own drinkable water. To pay, download the Recreation.gov App and use the Scan & Pay feature - directions are available in the campground.

Fire/Stove Policy

Fires are only allowed in metal fire grates. Never leave fires or coals unattended. Fires must be completely extinguished before leaving campsite or going to bed. Gathering firewood or fire-starting materials is prohibited.

Regulations Overview

Longs Peak Campground has 26 campsites for tents only. There is an eight (8) person limit per site. Each camping site is limited to: one camping unit (i.e., a tent) plus one additional tent. All tents shall be located on the tent pad. All additional camp structures must be self standing without impacts to vegetation or trees. Parking is limited to two (2) vehicles per site. A vehicle is defined as one vehicle, one trailer. Some campsites can only accommodate one vehicle on the designated graveled parking pad. Extra vehicles must park in overflow areas. Each vehicle must be parked on the gravel or paved parking pad causing no resource degradation or encroachment onto the paved access road. Wildlife including black bears, Mule deer and more frequent the area. All food items, scented items, pet food, cooking utensils, and coolers must be stored in a provided food storage box or inside a hard-sided vehicle. Lock your vehicle doors at all times. Bears can and will open vehicle doors to look for food rewards.

Gathering firewood or fire-starting materials is prohibited. Timed Entry Reservations are required to enter all areas of Rocky Mountain National Park during certain times of the day. For most areas, they are required between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. A timed entry is not included with the overnight camping fee for Longs Peak Campground.
