Campground Overview

Introduction

Log Yard Campground offers well-maintained campsites in the backcountry of Ozark National Scenic Riverways. On the nearby banks of the Current River, large gravel bars and impressive bluffs await. Also, as one of the darkest areas of the park, this campground makes for fantastic stargazing. Log Yard features a year-round boat ramp. Whether it's gigging, trapping, or a simple day on the river, this campground is most popular with boaters.

  • RV Information

RVs and trailers are allowed as specified in our campground regulations. As for RVs on the gravel bar at Log Yard: We are still working on a plan for Log Yard that follows our General Management Plan, which stipulated that we designate campsites on gravel bars that allow vehicular access for camping. Since we're implementing an electronic payment requirement parkwide this year, we need to establish campsite locations on the Log Yard gravel bar to allow campers to pay for specific sites. This will also provide an opportunity for us to place things like fire rings, picnic tables and lantern posts. At the same time, we hope to establish and improve an area of the gravel bar for launching vessels and parking. Vehicles would still be able to access the campsites and the vessel launch/parking area. Designating campsites and launch/parking area will help prevent overcrowding and degradation of gravel bars.
