Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino
3000 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas, NV, 89109
Conveniently close to the Las Vegas Strip and the Las Vegas Convention Center, the sprawling Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino is a popular place to stay the night or spend a few hours placing bets at the sportsbook or catching a show. It was this very hotel where Elvis Presley had his Las Vegas residency between 1969 and 1976.
The basics
The Elvis connection is among Westgate Las Vegas' big draws, and though “The King’s” residency is long gone, the resort is still known for its consistently excellent lineup of live entertainment. Sports fans flock to the Westgate for its massive sportsbook, where people can bet on the outcomes of all sorts of sporting events. There's also an expansive casino with slots and table games, as well as more than a dozen restaurants serving up everything from steak to sushi.
Things to know before you go
The Westgate Las Vegas is a must-visit for Elvis Presley fans and sports betting enthusiasts.
The resort is wheelchair accessible, with adapted guest rooms, public restrooms, parking, and facilities.
Pet-friendly rooms are available for an additional fee.
If you stay the night at the hotel, expect to pay an additional resort fee.
How to get there
The Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino is located just off the Las Vegas Strip, about a 10-minute drive or taxi ride from the Harry Reid International Airport and a 7-minute walk from the Las Vegas Convention Center. There's free on-site parking for guests who choose to drive, but it's easier to take a rideshare or hop aboard the Las Vegas Monorail, which stops right at the resort.
When to get there
Most people who aren't staying at the Westgate end up coming in the evening, either for a bit of gambling or to check out the live entertainment options for which the resort is known. If there’s a show you want to see, reserve tickets in advance to guarantee your seat, especially if you plan to visit during the busy winter season.
Las Vegas for Elvis fans
After checking out the Westgate (and snapping some pics with the Elvis statue in the lobby), head over to the Little White Chapel to catch a glimpse of newlyweds reading their vows in front of an Elvis impersonator officiant. Then check out one of Las Vegas’ Elvis tribute shows staged around town (just make sure to book in advance).
