Wertheim Village
Almosenberg, Wertheim, Germany, 97877
Wertheim Village is an open-air outlet mall with over 100 retailers, designed to resemble a Bavarian village, complete with Tudor-style edifices. Here, you'll find a mix of German and global brands and plenty of restaurants and cafes.
The basics
Wertheim Village is a great place to go if you want to buy heavily discounted goods from celebrated brands. Many major sportswear shops have outlets here, but you'll also find apparel, accessories, and luggage. Concierge services with English-speaking staff are available, making it easy to get around and ask questions even if you don't speak German.
Things to know before you go
Dogs are welcome in the village, but they must remain leashed.
The village is wheelchair-friendly, with accessible toilets.
Wheelchairs and strollers are also available for rent. On-site parking is free.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the village.
How to get there
The easiest way to get to Wertheim Village from Frankfurt is to either join a shopping tour with transportation or rent a car and drive for around an hour on the A3. You can also take public transit, but it can take anywhere from 90 minutes to over 2 hours and involves at least one change. Wurzburg is about a half-hour drive away.
When to get there
Wertheim Village hours vary. It's usually open Monday–Saturday, but it’s sometimes closed on Mondays and Saturdays. The village is permanently closed on Sundays and select public holidays. Because hours can vary, checking the website for up-to-date information before you head out is best. Come during the day on a weekday to avoid crowds.
While in Wurzburg
Although many people visit Wertheim Village from Frankfurt, the Bavarian city of Wurzburg is much closer. While in the area, it’s worth checking out local attractions such as the hilltop Marienberg Fortress, which dates to the 12th century, or setting out on the Romantic Road, which connects Wurzburg to Fussen, passing through old-fashioned towns and past vineyards along the way.
