POINT OF INTEREST

Vista Vallarta Golf Club

Circuito Universidad 653, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, 48290

Often considered one of the best and most beautiful golf destinations in Mexico, the Vista Vallarta Golf Club features two high-elevation courses designed by renowned golfers Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf respectively. Here, members and non-members can play a leisurely 18 holes surrounded by views of both Banderas Bay and Sierra Madre mountains before retiring to the on-site clubhouse, bar, or restaurant.

The Basics

Inaugurated in 2001, both the Nicklaus and Weiskopf courses offer challenging holes and a dense jungle setting. The former is characterized by palms and natural creeks, while the latter is more dramatic still, featuring deep ravines and various elevations. Travelers looking to squeeze in a round of golf at Vista Vallarta Golf Club should book tee times online in advance—for anything from one to four people—to guarantee their spot at one of these world-class courses.
