POINT OF INTEREST

Singapore Philatelic Museum

23-B Coleman St., Singapore, Singapore, 179807

The 20th-century colonial bungalow that was formerly the Singapore Philatelic Museum has been transformed into the Children’s Museum Singapore. Its rainbow-colored facade brightens even the greyest days in the city, and inside you'll find interactive exhibits meant to appeal to kids.

The basics

Children’s Museum Singapore has a permanent exhibition called A Voyage Back in Time with four sections. The Hidden Chamber welcomes guests with a short, immersive theatre show. Ahoy Singapore is a ship-themed section. The Marketplace depicts a bustling collection of stalls with interactive exhibits. My Neighborhood features a post office where you can design your own stamps, in a nod to the building's prior use. Check the website for info on the museum's rotating temporary exhibitions.
