Set on the edge of the New Forest National Park, this family-friendly amusement park is packed with rides and attractions. The park encompasses twisting roller coasters, waterslides, play areas, animal enclosures, and pretty gardens, though the biggest draw is Peppa Pig World, an area themed around the popular children’s cartoon.
The basics
Visitors can prebook tickets to Paultons Park. General admission tickets provide unlimited access to permanent park rides and attractions, though special seasonal attractions such as Santa’s grotto cost extra. Upgrade to bronze, silver, or gold VIP tickets for free parking, fast-track ride access, and other perks such as unlimited food and drink from park food concessions and a private meet-and-greet with a park character. Seasonal tickets, which allow for multiple entries over a predetermined time period, are also available for purchase. Entrance to Peppa Pig World is included with all tickets.
Things to know before you go
*Paultons Park is a must for families, with many of the rides and attractions geared toward children. *The majority of the park, and some of its rides and attractions are wheelchair-accessible. *There are height and age restrictions in place for most rides. *Numerous shops, restaurants, cafés, and food kiosks can be found scattered around the park, while lockers and strollers are available for rent.
How to get there
Paultons Park is located in Hampshire near the New Forest National Park, 80 miles (130 kilometers) kilometers) southwest of central London. The X7 Salisbury-Southampton bus service stops at Ower, about a 5–10-minute walk from the main park entrance. The nearest train stations—Southampton Airport Parkway and Southampton Central—are about a 15–20-minute taxi ride away from the park.
When to get there
The park’s family-friendly nature means it is usually busiest during weekends and school vacations. To avoid long lines, come midweek during term time.
Peppa Pig World
Peppa Pig has been a much-loved presence since she first burst onto the small screen in 2004, and Paultons Park Peppa Pig World is specially designed to appeal to Peppa fans—typically toddlers and preschoolers. Characters from the show can be found wandering around this part of the park, which features Peppa-themed rides, from the gentle monorail-style Queen’s Flying Coach Ride to the Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club, which sees participants cruising around a water circuit on a boat.
