National Corvette Museum

350 Corvette Drive, Bowling Green, Kentucky

Make a pit stop at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to take in more than six decades of Corvette history. You’ll find over 80 of the classic American cars—rare and concept cars, classic models, and prototypes organized by time period—as well as historic photographs and memorabilia.

Aside from the extensive collection of classic cars, you’ll also find many interactive experiences at the museum. Snap your photo in the driver's seat of a 2015 Stingray, or, for an extra fee, get behind the wheel of a C6 Corvette for a spin around the virtual racetrack. Don’t miss the new Skydome Sinkhole Experience, which recounts the natural disaster that struck the museum in 2014 and how the cars were recovered.

  • Book your admission ahead of time to skip the line at the ticket office.
  • Allow one to two hours to visit the museum—more if you’re a classic-car buff.
  • The museum offers guided tours to learn more about the cars on display.
  • Admission is free for active military and children aged four years and under.

The Corvette assembly plant across the road from the National Corvette Museum offers a glimpse at the newest cars to enter the fleet.

At the National Corvette Museum, visitors will see more than 80 Corvettes from the model’s various eras, dating back to 1953. The infamous 2014 sinkhole incident has also been turned into the Corvette Cave-In exhibit. Beyond these, visitors can access several interactive displays, including a Corvette racing simulator.

Additionally, private guided tours can be arranged for groups of 15 or more—just call the museum in advance.

The National Corvette Museum is known for its fine-tuned tribute to the Chevrolet Corvette, one of America's most beloved sports cars. The museum is also known for a 2014 sinkhole incident, where eight Corvettes were swallowed by a sudden collapse in the Skydome area—that’s also been turned into an exhibit.

The National Corvette Museum is typically open seven days a week; the usual opening hours are from 8am to 5pm (note that Bowling Green is in the Central Time Zone). However, the museum typically runs reduced hours in winter, often closing on Tuesdays in January and February.

Yes, the National Corvette Museum has ample parking available for visitors. The spacious lot can accommodate hundreds of cars, buses, and RVs. Parking is free of charge, making it convenient for all types of visitors, whether arriving in a personal vehicle or as part of a group tour.

The amount of time you need to fully explore the National Corvette Museum depends on your level of interest. On average, visitors spend about two hours touring the museum. However, if you’re a Corvette enthusiast or plan to take a guided tour, you might want to allocate a bit more time, possibly up to four hours, to ensure you don't miss anything.
