Mercedes-Benz Stadium
1 AMB Dr NW, Atlanta, GA, 30313
In the heart of Atlanta, Mercedes-Benz Stadium is home to the Atlanta Falcons football team and the Atlanta United FC soccer team, and has hosted major events such as Super Bowl LIII in 2019. The state-of-the-art and LEED Platinum arena also hosts a variety of concerts and other major events throughout the year.
The basics
The best way to experience the stadium is to attend a game or concert, and take your pick of more than 70,000 seats; you can also catch the action on-screen—there’s a 58-foot (18-meter) tall HD video board, the largest in the world, and more than 2,000 digital displays—and pre-game in the 100,000-square-foot (9,290-square-meter) tailgating lot. Tours of the stadium are also available, and include a behind-the-scenes look at the field, the locker rooms, and other premium locations.
Things to know before you go
There are plenty of food options inside the stadium. Outside food and drinks are not permitted, with the exception of one sealed bottle of water per person.
Only very small purses and clutches and small clear bags are permitted inside the arena.
The stadium is designed to be accessible for visitors with disabilities, with ADA parking, accessible gates, wheelchair and companion seating on all levels, and assistive listening devices.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the stadium.
How to get there
Mercedes-Benz Stadium has a central location, just west of downtown Atlanta, at the intersection of Northside Drive and Martin Luther King Boulevard. More than 20,000 parking spots are available within a 20-minute walk of the stadium. You can also take the Blue/Green MARTA line to GWCC/CNN Center station, the Red/Gold line to the Peachtree Center station, or the Atlanta Streetcar to the Centennial Olympic Park stop. Several buses also stop nearby.
When to get there
The Atlanta Falcons season typically runs from early September to late December, while the Atlanta United FC season usually runs from late February to mid-October. Concerts and other events are held throughout the year; check the schedule and book tickets in advance. Stadium tours are offered on most days that don’t have a game or performance scheduled.
Other sporting venues in Atlanta
Sports fans have several other options in the Atlanta area besides Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Baseball fans can watch the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park, while basketball fans can catch Atlanta Hawks games at the State Farm Arena, and racing fans can watch NASCAR races and car shows at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, just south of the city.
