Malta 5D is a fully immersive audio and visual show that takes audiences on journeys through the history and culture of Malta with a 3D film, moving seats, water sprays, air blasts, and leg ticklers. Over 20 minutes, the show takes visitors back in time to witness events that shaped the history and culture of the island archipelago.
The Basics
The Malta 5D cinema holds shows in the middle of Valletta daily every thirty minutes during opening hours. The program covers the most significant events in 7000 years of Malta's history, from the formation of prehistoric temples to the victory of the Knights of Malta at the Great Siege of 1565 to Malta’s heroic efforts during World War II. The multi-attraction Malta Pass grants admission to the show.

How to Get There
Malta 5D is in the heart of Valletta a short stroll from the City Gate. It's also just a 5-minute walk from the Valletta bus terminus; a 10-minute walk from the cruise terminal; and a 5-10-minute walk from the Marsamxett Harbour where the Sliema ferry arrives.
When to Get There
Malta 5D is open year-round. From Monday to Saturday, it's open from mid-morning through early evening. On Sundays and public holidays, it opens from mid-morning to early afternoon. Shows are 18 minutes long and start every 30 minutesL: you shouldn’t need to spend more than half an hour here.
National Museum of Archaeology
If Malta 5D piques an interest in Malta’s ancient history, you can visit the National Museum of Archaeology nearby. Housed in a 16th-century Baroque building, the museum exhibits a collection of artifacts that date from prehistoric times, from the Ghar Dalam phase (5200 BCE) to the Tarxien phase (2500 BCE), as well as the Bronze Age, Phoenician, Punic, Roman, and Byzantine eras.
