Honeymoon Island

There are numerous activities available for different types of visitors on the island, including swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, surfing, fishing, and beachcombing for shells. Land-based options include walking, hiking, and exploring the nature center. There are three beach areas: Main Beach, which offers the most amenities; the dog-friendly Pet Beach; and the quiet North Beach. Visitors can also catch the ferry to Caladesi Island from Honeymoon Island. You can visit independently or as part of an eco-tour by boat.

The park is open year-round, from early morning until sundown, with the Rotary Centennial Nature Center closing in the late afternoon. The park is a great spot to watch the sunset, and entrance fees are half-price one hour before sunset. Loggerhead turtles sometimes nest on the beach from May through October.
