HarborWalk Village
34 Harbor Blvd, Destin, FL
HarborWalk Village is the central area of Destin as far as tourism is concerned. It is located on Harbor Boulevard, aka Highway 98, the main throughway through Destin. A waterfront shopping, dining, and entertainment complex adjacent to the Destin Harbor Boardwalk, HarborWalk Village is a popular place for sunset viewing, casual strolling, weekly fireworks displays, and countless family-friendly live events throughout the year.
HarborWalk Village is not connected to any beach, but that doesn’t stop the crowds from leaving the shoreline behind for weekly farmer’s markets, festivals, and special events. Most retail stores and restaurants cater to visitors' desires, which means you’ll always find fresh seafood, cold cocktails, and vibrant beachwear for sale. The Emerald Grande hotel is also on-site: a four-star all-condo resort that offers kids’ activities, a spa, and free boat shuttle service to the harbor and beaches for guests.
Look up when strolling; you might see someone fly overhead on a zipline. HarborWalk Village has a handful of thrill rides, like freefall jumping and a rock wall, while there are other calmer activities, like mini golf, an escape room, and an arcade. Multiple fishing and boating charters are available, so shop for the best price before scheduling a trip.
Visitors can pay to park at Emerald Grande Hotel between March and October without an overnight reservation.
Thursday nights are fireworks nights, so expect larger crowds.
Some of the restaurants in HarborWalk Village are pet-friendly.
Many bars in HarborWalk Village offer to-go cups so you can continue drinking while exploring the complex.
HarborWalk Village is located at 10 Harbor Boulevard in Destin on the eastern side of the Destin Bridge. Harbor Boulevard is Highway 98, a beachline along the Panhandle shoreline. From Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport, you can take Route 85 south to Harbor Boulevard, then head east to HarborWalk Village.
HarborWalk Village is one of the main attractions in Destin, hosting events throughout the year. Visit during the afternoons and sunset if you want to get in the thick of the action. Remember that visitors are enjoying HarborWalk Village and may also park nearby if heading out to the ever-popular Crab Island. Be sure to arrive early for dinner reservations or other timed activities, as you may have trouble finding parking.
If you’re spending time around the Destin HarborWalk Village, you can find fewer crowds around the corner at Captain Leonard Destin Park and Clement Taylor Park. These small city parks have a pier, splash pad, playground, and small family-friendly beach within walking distance of HarborWalk Village. You may also find a shorter wait for food at Dewey Destin’s Seafood restaurant adjacent to the parks and Destin Marina.
