Guitar Legends Hall

16 Calle de la Portaferrissa, Ciutat Vella, Barcelona, Catalonia, 08002

A one-of-a-kind museum in the heart of Barcelona, Guitar Legends Hall provides a uniquely immersive and interactive way to delve into the history of rock ‘n’ roll. Visitors are free to play with jukeboxes, listen to old records, and put their own musical ambitions to the test—and even admire a collection of guitars once played by musical legends like Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton.

The basics

One of Barcelona’s hottest attractions—and unique among European museums for its focus on rock stars’ instruments—Guitar Legends Hall is conveniently located in the heart of the popular Gothic Quarter (Barri Gòtic). The museum takes around 1 hour to fully appreciate; after purchasing tickets, grab your audio guide (included with museum entry) and get ready for a true musical immersion.

You’re free to explore the range of interactive installations and exhibition areas at your own pace. Don’t miss Guitar Legends Hall’s crowning glory: a collection of famous guitars once owned by musicians ranging from BB King and Eddie Van Halen to Slash and Jimi Hendrix. To extend the experience, you can also book tickets to one of the many concerts and performances that are hosted on-site.
