Fantasilandia

The basics

Fantasilandia is spread out over a large expanse, with a variety of rides geared toward different visitors. Popular options include the Tsunami (a water splash ride), the Abductor (an inverted roller coaster), and carnival classics such as a mine train ride, bumper cars, and a swinging ship. Rides are themed according to interest, with an area for younger kids, an astronomy-themed Space Zone, a destination for thrill rides, and a couple of gaming areas.

Things to know before you go

• Fantasilandia is a must for families visiting Santiago with kids.

• You aren’t allowed to bring food and drinks into the park, but there are dozens of vendors selling everything from snacks to full meals.

• Lockers are available in the park for a fee on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Some rides have minimum height requirements, and children under 35 inches (90 centimeters) enter free.

How to get there

Fantasilandia is located inside O'Higgins Park in the heart of Santiago, southeast of La Moneda. Parking is available at the Equestrian Club, but you’ll need to buy your parking pass in advance online. Plenty of city buses go to O'Higgins Park, as does Line 1 of the Santiago Metro.

When to get there

The park's schedule varies, so it's best to check the website for opening days and times. It's typically open on weekends and public holidays, but closed in November and December (except for November 1). Come right when the park opens to make the most of your visit.
