The basics

Like many luxury airport lounges, Club Mobay provides its guests with a VIP airport experience. But unlike other lounges where you need to be flying business class or a Priority Pass member, Club Mobay welcomes passengers flying in economy, too. In fact, it doesn’t matter which seat you have on the plane. Children are even invited, as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

The Club Mobay experience includes access to amenities like high-speed Wi-Fi, a fully equipped business center, free food and drinks, and free phone calls to the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. In addition, a Club Mobay entrance pass lets you fly through security and immigration with skip-the-line access, available for both arrivals and departures.

While walk-ins are allowed, they’re subject to availability and priority is given to those with tickets. Plus, booking in advance allows you to opt for upgrades. They include meet-and-greet arrival service with an airport representative to walk you through customs and immigration as soon as you step off the plane, arrival and departure bundles for club access on both sides of your flight, and private ground transfer to your hotel after arrival.

How to get there

Club Mobay Departure Lounge is located in the departure terminal by Gate 9. Take the elevator or follow the signs directing you down a flight of stairs. For those booking an arrival tour, look for the Club Mobay Meeting Point when you step off the plane. An upgrade is available for meet-and-greet services at your arrival gate, as well.

When to get there

Check when you book for the current hours for Club Mobay’s arrival and departure lounges. Currently, the arrivals lounge is open seven days a week from 6am to 8pm. The departures lounge is open every day, from 6am to 10pm. That said, hours may change to accommodate flight schedule changes.

For departures, find the Club Mobay information booth next to the entrance for security and immigration after checking in for your flight. For arrivals, find the Club Mobay Meeting Point after you step off the plane.

Food at the Club Mobay lounge

Food options include fresh fruits, sandwiches, tapas, and Jamaican patties (flaky pastry stuffed with meats or vegetables). The breakfast menu centers around classics like egg dishes, waffles, and french toast. The lunch menu highlights pasta dishes, salads, wraps, and a soup of the day.

There is also a menu for children featuring kid-friendly options like chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese, The entry fee also includes drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). If you have dietary restrictions, make sure to let an attendant know.

Ways to explore

Club Mobay access is typically booked in advance, and all rates include expedited airport security screening and access to five different lounges. After clearing security, travelers can relax in seating areas with access to complimentary food and beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), showers, a spa, Wi-Fi, and a children’s area.

Packages range from VIP lounge access to travel add-ons, including shared or private airport transfers. The lounge is especially popular with travelers departing during peak hours. Entry is permitted up to three hours before your scheduled departure.

The Club Mobay lounges are past airport security, with four near Gate 12 and one near Gate 7. Once inside the terminal, Club Mobay staff direct guests through the fast-track process and onward to one of the lounges.

Driving

Sangster International Airport is a roughly 15-minute drive from Montego Bay. From the city center, follow signs to the airport via the A1 highway. Parking is available at the airport.

Public transportation

There is no public transit to or from Sangster International Airport. Some travel packages include transport; otherwise, you will need to hail a cab or use a shuttle service to get there.

Best times to visit

Arrive 2–3 hours before an international flight to allow time for check-in, security screening, and lounge access without rushing.

Best days to visit

Weekends and peak travel days are busier at the airport, making lounge access especially helpful.

Best months to visit

The high season in Jamaica runs from December through April. During these months, the airport experiences higher traffic, and wait times may be longer.
