Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark
301 Resort Drive, Tannersville, PA
Set against the backdrop of Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, Camelbeach Outdoor Waterpark is a scenic place to have fun and take a break from the summer sun. The outdoor park has a range of rides, waterslides, and pools where you can cool off, all with varying levels of adventure and speed. Plus, kiddie pools and splash zones offer fun for the little ones.
Families can enjoy multi-person raft rides together, float down the lazy river, or lounge poolside in a cabana. With miniature tipping buckets, waterslides, and sprinklers, kids find the themed water areas (suited for younger ages) particularly enjoyable. FlowRider sessions allow visitors to learn how to surf without heading to the ocean. Camelbeach Outdoor Waterpark offers both day tickets and season passes. As part of the Camelback Resort, there’s also access to indoor games and activities, including an arcade, laser tag, a ropes course, a rock wall, and more.
The waterpark requires that guests wear appropriate swimwear; it’s recommended that you wear water shoes or flip-flops.
Changing rooms, showers, and bathrooms are located throughout the park. You can rent a locker for the day.
Most of the dining options are located in the center of the park, while beverage stands and food trucks are throughout the park.
Wheelchairs are available for rent; call guest services for more info about accommodations for guests with a disability.
As a part of the larger Camelback Resort, the waterpark can be found in the countryside of northeastern Pennsylvania. Located just off Interstate 80, Camelbeach is a short drive from New York City and Philadelphia—90 minutes from New York and 2 hours from Philadelphia. Bus service from NYC’s Port Authority travels to two stops close to Camelback Resort, Mt. Pocono, and Mount Airy Casino.
From late May to early September, Camelbeach Outdoor Waterpark is open daily, with hours varying at the start and end of the season. The Pocono Mountains are a popular summer getaway for nearby residents, so expect the biggest crowds on the weekends and holidays. During this time, NASCAR also comes to the Pocono Raceway, which can mean more visitors on race days.
Thanks to the accessibility to New York City and Philadelphia, the Pocono Mountains serve as a popular winter and summer jaunt. During the warm weather, visitors can enjoy outdoor activities such as hikes, whitewater rafting, and water parks. In the winter, skiing, snow tubing, and snowmobiling attract visitors from the surrounding region.
