Art in Paradise Bangkok

99 Ratchadaphisek Road, Din Daeng, Bangkok, Thailand, 10400

A branch of the museum that first opened in Pattaya, Art in Paradise Bangkok (aka the Trickeye Museum and the 3D Museum) offers similar interactive exhibits in the Thai capital. Full of optical illusions that travelers use as photo backdrops, the family-friendly museum is a fun place to spend a few hours out of the heat or rain.

The Basics

Explore the ruins of Angkor Wat, walk across a rickety bridge high above a raging river, ride a flying carpet through Ancient Egypt, and surf an enormous wave—it’s all possible at the Art in Paradise Bangkok museum. The colorful, detailed paintings on the walls and floors enable you to travel the world from the comfort of a Bangkok mall. Unlike traditional art galleries, where you stand and gaze at works of art, Art in Paradise encourages you to become part of the scene and pose for photos.

To save time, purchase your ticket online in advance. Or, visit the museum as part of a guided tour of Bangkok.

Things to Know Before You Go

  • Remove your shoes at the entrance of the museum.

  • How long you spend at the museum depends on how many photos you want to pose for. Allow up to three hours.

  • Markers throughout the galleries indicate the best places to stand for realistic, hilarious, and terrifying photos.

  • Unlike at many art galleries, tripods are allowed, so every member of your party can be in the photos.

How to Get There

Located on the fourth floor of the Esplanade shopping mall, in the Din Daeng area of Bangkok, the Art in Paradise museum is easy to reach by metro (MRT). Get off at the Thailand Cultural Centre station.

When to Get There

Art in Paradise Bangkok is open every day from morning through evening, with last admission an hour before closing.

Visit the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre

Looking for a more traditional art gallery experience? Check out the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, which has been called the Guggenheim of Thailand; the building somewhat resembles the famous New York City gallery, with its spiral staircase. Besides modern art exhibits, you’ll also find several cafés and art-related shops.
