Arrington Vineyards

Co-owned by US country music star Kix Brooks, Arrington Vineyards is pure Tennessee wine country. At its heart are 16 acres (6.5 hectares) of vineyards producing grapes for award-winning wines. Visitors can easily book wine tasting experiences, but may want to add round-trip shuttle service from Nashville to avoid self-driving hassles. All-day drinking crawls are an option as well, and tend to include visits to local distilleries.

Arrington Vineyards lies 25 miles (40 kilometers) south of Nashville. Driving from Nashville, take the I-65 S toward Knoxville; take Exit 65 for TN-96 East; turn right on Cox Road; and turn left onto Patton Road, where you’ll find the entrance. Easier still is catching a round-trip shuttle or daytime distillery tour leaving from Nashville.

Arrington is open year-round but comes into its own from April to November, when it takes advantage of Tennessee’s seasonal weather with alfresco tastings and other outdoor events. Expect buzzy weekends, especially in high summer when evening concerts draw local crowds.

There’s plenty to do at Arrington, especially during summer. Pair bottles or flights of Arrington wines with snacks from the estate Pavilion—and enjoy them alfresco amid the rural scenery. Alternatively, reserve wine tasting experiences to learn about and sample home-grown varietals.
