What Information is in TourBook on Trip Canvas?

AAA TourBook guides will continue to have hotel, restaurant and attraction recommendations but will now also include articles and videos about the best things to do when you travel as well as travel guides that offer practical information about top destinations.

Hotels

Recommended hotels in America, Canada, the Caribbean, Costa Rica and Mexico include those that have earned a AAA Diamond-designation by going through rigorous evaluations conducted by AAA’s team of professional inspectors. Not only are the hotels clean; Diamond-designations indicate the level of amenities offered, making it easier to choose a hotel that suits your budget and preferences.

Travel Inspiration

Our team of editors are continuously researching and finding the best things to do and creating articles and videos to inspire travel and help members plan their dream vacations — whether you are looking for an action-packed getaway, a relaxing retreat or anything in between.

Travel Guides

The TourBook on Trip Canvas also includes travel guides the provide practical travel information like how to get around top destinations, best time to visit and money-saving tips.

Cruises and Vacation Packages

Not only will you find cruise and vacation packages with TourBook on Trip Canvas, but also, as a member, you get exclusive savings and benefits with AAA’s cruise partners. Plus, you can enjoy guided and independent trips with AAA Vacations® packages featuring curated itineraries.

Where Can I Find AAA Maps?

There are a few ways to get AAA maps.

  1. Stop by your local AAA office to pick up paper maps of U.S., Canada and Mexico — free for AAA members. Plus, select offices carry an atlas of North America.
  2. Get maps from the AAA Map Gallery, an online gallery where you can access an assortment of printable maps of destinations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, as well as maps of cruise terminals and national parks.
  3. The AAA TripTik® Travel Planner allows you to plan and save routes; find important points of interest like hotels (including pet-friendly accommodations), campgrounds, restaurants and attractions; and identify locations that offer discounts and savings to AAA members.

Travel Information from Experts You Can Trust

AAA employs inspectors and travel editors who are trained to find and share the kind of information important to members who are planning travel.

For nearly 100 years, AAA’s inspectors have been evaluating hotels and restaurants. They conduct surprise evaluations based on a rigorous set of guidelines to provide members with detailed comments on what to expect at AAA Diamond-designated hotels and restaurants.

Unlike other rating systems that are based solely on travelers’ experiences, AAA inspectors determine Diamond-designations on-site and according to established guidelines and requirements. The AAA Diamond Program reflects the latest in industry trends and travelers’ expectations. The designations not only indicate the level of amenities that you can expect at a property but also assure that hotels offer a clean, comfortable experience no matter the budget.

Our team of AAA travel editors has been providing travel advice and information for members since the release of the first TourBook in 1926. They are experienced travelers who provide in-depth information on cities, attractions and things to do.

With the AAA TourBook on Trip Canvas, AAA’s travel information is more convenient, dynamic and up-to-date than ever.
