AAA Diamond Inspector Notes
Located on a private island in Mission Bay, this resort offers bungalow-style accommodations, multiple pools, restaurants and more. Water features and white-sand beaches beautify the lush grounds. Enjoy one of the many on-site recreational facilities or dine at one of the many food and beverage venues. Several pool areas, water features and walkways grace this establishment. For these and many other reasons, this resort is most perfectly named. Smoke free premises. 462 units. 1 story, exterior corridors.

We stayed for two nights in a king garden view room. Pros: This is a very nice looking property, with a tropical island feel and appeared to be kept up rather well. There are several heated pools, two restaurants with bar areas and a cafe. The parking is outside your room (for the king room bungalow type building) with a dedicated space with room#. Front desk staff were very nice and there are several activities available for guests including a mini golf course, yoga, meditation, bike tour, and the island is very walkable. The location is central to Mission Beach, Balboa Park, and DTWN San Diego (short drives). Cons: Parking and resort fees are added on at check-in. So make sure you budget on top of what you are paying for the room. The restaurants were in the high moderate range for pricing. I think the cheeseburger ran about $20 and yogurt with granola around $9.. We will definitely book this resort again, however, we will bring more of our own food and stay a third day to have more time to enjoy the resort and not just our plans outside of the resort. Offseason is much cheaper than the summer.
Nice and relaxing. Easy access to Bay. The manager, Rebecca gave amazing customer service.
Lovely location, they let me park my jet skis on the property overnight which was very convenient. Everyone was very nice and movie night at the pool was fun for the kids.
