Campground Overview
We are a Family Campground with direct access to the sandbar that has white sugar sand along the most beautiful Creek in Jackson County. We offer Pull-thru and back-in, full hook-up sites or rustic tent camping is also available. Kids and Parents can swim, fish, canoe, kayak, play volleyball, spike ball, bad mitten, horseshoes, corn-hole, or take a stroll or hike through the woods and trails.
Clean restrooms and shower houses available.

We can accommodate scout groups, church groups, and so much more, bring your large or small group of friends and family to come stay with us.

Check In
Check In Time: 2PM | When you arrive, please come to the office and we will show you to your site. If you are arriving after hours you may check in with us the following morning.

Rules
Pets
"Nonaggressive breeds” are allowed at RV Sites and Tent Sites and must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after and cannot be left unattended chained up. Non-service animals Pets are not permitted in the swimming beach area.
Visitors/Guests
Visitors and/or guests are $5 per person/day (after tax). Passes and/or bracelets are provided.
Reservations
A reservation must be made and paid for by a responsible party at least 21 years of age or older.

For issues related to your campground stay call our main number 228-346-0404. For medical or law enforcement issues call 911 and then notify us.
WE PROTECT OUR CHILDREN
No person(s), “Male or Female,” is permitted on Sugar Sands Campground property if listed in (ANY) Sex Offender Registry. We also do not allow guests with current active warrants of any kind.
Alcohol
All alcoholic beverage cans and bottles must be kept at your own campsite. No alcoholic beverages in any of our public areas or common areas such as Pavilion, Beach, Bath House. Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited. *Please drink responsibly. Disturbances will not be tolerated and will be handled by the Jackson County Sherriff department.
Garbage
All garbage must be securely sealed and placed in the onsite dumpster. Please do not leave your trash bags outside overnight. This will limit strays and wild animals from using our park as a food source.
Damages
If damage occurs, the registered guest on file is responsible for all expenses incurred to repair the damage. *Registered guest(s) is/are aware that the credit card on file will be charged for damages caused by neglect or intentional abuse of or theft of park property.
Property Rules
*Clotheslines- Do not use nails to attach clothesline. Bungee cord or rope welcome. *No personal undergarments are permitted to be hung outdoors. Please use washers/dryers located off-site for these items. *Do not cut down ANY tree on the property. *Only customary camping supplies are allowed. Tarps are not allowed on extended-stay or any guests’ RVs. *We reserve the right to request the removal of additional rugs or unreasonably sized Indoor rugs. *No automotive mechanic work allowed on site.
Restrooms
We ask for your cooperation in always keeping the restrooms and showers neat and tidy. Please report any untidiness or unsafe conditions to the office so it may be addressed immediately. Please accompany young children in need of parental guidance to the restroom locations.
Federal/Local Laws
Guests must obey all federal and local laws regarding the ownership and possession of firearms. Firearms are not permitted in any of the property buildings or common areas. The only exception is that guests may have a firearm in a locked, private vehicle in a parking area if permitted by law. The discharge of firearms, BB guns, air guns/rifles, or similar devices are strictly prohibited.
Pet Policies
NO Pit Bull, Rottweilers, and Doberman Pinschers allowed. Dogs with any known aggressive nature are not allowed. We require an up-to-date rabies vaccination and up-to-date rabies tag on all pets. *Common courtesy regarding guests with pets is expected. *Pets are to be always kept on a leash for the safety of ALL pets and/or guests. *Pet droppings are to be picked up immediately and disposed of appropriately. *No pet fencing that attaches to the ground. We welcome free-standing pet fences within your campsite. * No pets in the beach area
Bicycle Helmets
persons 16 and younger are required by the state of Mississippi to wear a helmet. Golf Carts/Gators/ Rangers: Same rules apply as with motorized vehicles. No vehicles are allowed in the Swimming Beach area. ATV’S, 3-Wheelers or 4-Wheelers are NOT PERMITTED on Campground premises. Battery-Operated Vehicles: Children’s battery-operated vehicles (ex: Little Tikes) are welcome to be ridden within the park area only and NOT along the roadside. RVs are not able to see children riding these vehicles. An adult must be present with the child when riding. Must be put away when security lights come on.
Flags
No political flags are allowed to be displayed at your site and/or throughout the campground.
NO after Dark Riding
For everyone’s safety, children MUST be off bicycles, battery vehicles, etc., when the streetlights come on.
Speed Limit
Strictly enforced. Please follow ALL posted speed limit signs. Gravel is slippery. We expect all guests to take extra precautions and watch out for children.
Motorized Vehicles
(Cars, Trucks, SUVs): We allow two vehicles per site. Exceptions made are subject to management’s discretion only. Any person operating a motorized vehicle in this park must be a licensed driver and have the license on his/her person. One motorcycle is welcome in addition to the two vehicles. Extra vehicles $5 not including day guest vehicles that must park in overflow lot. Campers may arrive on a motorcycle but are not permitted to ride the vehicle through the Camp Resort for entertainment.

Quiet hours are from 10 pm-8 am
Smoking
NO cigarette, cigar, or illegal substance smoking on the beach or pavilions or in any buildings including bathrooms. If of legal age, Vaping is permitted. Please be respectful of others and do not blow your vaped air into the personal space of others. *Please can your butts and help keep our park litter-free.
