Campground Overview

Schreier's on Shetek Campground is a premiere camping experience located near Currie, Minnesota. It primarily features seasonally rented full hook-up sites; however, it does offer electric-only nightly/weekend camping as well as tent site reservations. 

Campsite amenities include free WiFi, a campground store, multiple playgrounds, a game room, picnic tables, fire circles, fish cleaning facilities, a recycling center, and public grills. It also includes basic amenities like multiple handicap accessible restrooms and showering facilities as well as on-site coin-operated laundry. Visitors can also enjoy activities such as on-site mini golf, Saturday evening movie nights, biking, hiking, fishing, water sports (including but not limited to kayaking, paddle boards, paddle boats), and wildlife watching.

Rules

Water Recreation & Docks

All boats (and trailers when not in use) need to be parked in the boat parking lot. They are not allowed at sites. No boats are to be tied to the public docks overnight or during high winds. Winds may come up unexpectedly and can cause major damage to your boat and our docks. If a violation occurs and damage results, dock repairs will be at the boat owner's expense.

Fish Cleaning

Please clean up after yourself when you are finished in the fish cleaning room. This includes wiping of the counter, walls, and sinks. Please place all fish waste in the pails provided and place the lid back on top. Do not put cleanings in the dumpsters as state law prohibits this.

Check In/Out Time and Quiet Hours

Check-In: 4:00 pm (early check-in generally allowed upon request) Check-Out: 2:00 pm Quiet Hours: 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. In order to be respectful of all campers, no loud noises or disturbances are allowed during these times; this includes barking dogs, music, and loud campfire talking.

Mini Golf

There is a $3.00 charge to play mini golf. Please come to the office for equipment.

Children

Parents and guardians are responsible for watching their children. The campground doesn't restrict children's play, but we are concerned for their safety.

Recycling Center

Please recycle all glass, aluminum, plastic, tin, and cardboard at the Recycling Center located. Each campsite is to maintain a neat appearance.

Game Room

Security cameras monitor activity in and around the barn. For the enjoyment of everyone, these facilities are to remain clean at all times.

Laundry

Coin operated laundry facilities are located in the Barn. Please remove lint from each dryer before each cycle. Do not overload the washers.

Pet Policy

Pets are welcome in our park; however, they must be kept on a short leash (6 feet or shorter) and may not be left unattended or alone at your site. Waste must be immediately cleaned up by owner and deposited into a waste container. Any damage to site (include digging holes) will be at Camper's expense.

Storm Safety

Should a storm approach, the campground staff will do our best to notify you. Radio stations 106.1 FM KJOE and 105.1 FM KARL carry weather information. In the case of severe storms, you can go to any bathroom facility or into the house/office basement for your protection.

No Fireworks or Firearms

Fireworks and firearms are not allowed on the premises for any reason

Office & Store Hours

Office and store hours are 8:00 am to 10:00 pm on weekends. We sell wood, ice, milk, live bait and miscellaneous camping supplies, along with gift items including but not limited to hats, mugs, t-shirts, and sweatshirts.

Vehicles

Each vehicle within the Campground needs a parking permit. For the safety of all campers, the campground uses speed bumps to help ensure drivers utilize safe speeds (10 mph). Unsafe speeds and going around speed bump are in direct violation of the rules. Violators will be asked to leave the campground.

Registered Campers and Guests

Each site must register at the Campground Office before parking. Each site is allowed 2 adults and up to 4 children. There is a $3.00 charge per person thereafter. Daily visitors (anyone not under your initial reservation driving a separate vehicle) must obtain a parking permit. This fee is $7.00 per day and expires at 11:00 pm.

Water Amenities

Please clean up after yourself when you are finished in the fish cleaning room. This includes wiping of the counter and walls, and washing down the sinks. There is a broom in the wall if you track in mud. Please put all fish cleanings in the pails provided, and place the lid back on top. Do not put cleanings in the dumpsters

Swim Beach

No lifeguard is on duty so please watch your children at the swim beach and around the lake in general. For everyone's safety, please do not bring glass to this area of the park.
