Sarnia is the northern starting point for the St. Clair Parkway, one of three such recreational drives in Ontario. It hugs the meandering St. Clair River's park-lined shores, before heading inland to Chatham and Dresden. Hiking trails are plentiful in the area.

Local farmers sell their produce year-round every Wednesday and Saturday at a farmers market in the Mitton Village area, 110 Proctor St.
