The hotel itself is nice, but a little worn. They are remodeling next spring. They have no business center in case you need a computer or need to print something. The restaurant is expensive, but not unexpected. Beware of the non-refundable “resort fees”. They are NOT clearly stated prior to checking out on the AAA website and AAA used a third party site, Hotelbeds.com, to book, so the hotel says it’s Hotelbeds.com’s and AAA’s responsibility to disclose. Nor does the hotel disclose them prior to checkout and says it is not required to do so. You can access the SIX page fine print booking agreement on AAA prior to booking, where it is listed in one line about three pages in, assuming you know that these types of hotels are different and know to look for this. The AAA agent said these types of hotels always charge a resort fee. Unfortunately inexperienced travelers, like us, are not familiar with this. Do not trust the hotel, Hotelbeds.com or AAA to clearly disclose these fees prior to booking.
Good for families. The resort fee includes water park with lazy river and slides. Also a mini golf course which is not in great shape. The hotel is older and could use updating. It was necessary to walk outside to get to hotel restaurant and this was inconvenient being it was pouring rain. Wouldn’t recommend for couples. Popular for families in the spring attending sports tournaments.
Room service was ridiculous. Scanned menu wouldn’t come up and idiot on the phone wouldn’t tell us what they had. Paid $66 for eggs in cardboard and a paper bag. Lowbrow. Very noisy hotel.
