The historic hotel offers updated rooms in several floor plans. Corner rooms have more windows featuring views of Charleston. Several rooms have balconies. Those by the pool may be a little noisy. You'll also have ample opportunities for relaxation and conversation in the expansive public areas and fountain courtyard. This will be a beautiful upscale hotel when the renovations are finished. Unfortunately we booked 5 rooms. Arrived at 12:30 am. Had them hold our bags. Came back at 4 to check in and 2 hrs later we were still waiting. The manger overheard me complain when I was outside and said he’d help. Put us on a renovated floor as an upgrade. Personally I think he could have done that 2 hrs earlier. I would have expected that type of room to begin with. Already had reservation to go back at the end of our vacation and makes me dread it. Seth, the person who parked our car, delivered our bags was more of a management quality person than anyone else there. Al these other questions can’t reflect our poor experience. Like I stated when the reservations are done I’ll assume it will be better organized
