This hotel is in Old Farmington Village, within walking distance of the historic section with its Colonial homes and shops. Beds feature European sheets, white goose down duvets and mattress toppers. Many of these spacious guest rooms are decorated in tasteful early New England-style furnishings and décor. Each room has a two-post sleigh bed or a four-poster canopied bed. Cordial staff greet guests as they check in. The inn is popular with an international clientèle due to its close proximity to the famous Miss Porter's Boarding School, a highly selective preparatory school for teenage girls. Popular breakfast offerings include fruit cups, hard-boiled eggs, and a make-your-own-waffle machine. Smoke free premises. 72 units, some houses. 2 stories (no elevator), interior corridors.

What a delightful place! I like the New England feel and the color blue. There is some covered parking and the breakfast is worth the trouble. Beware though, there are no elevators and some stair climbing is required.
