AAA Diamond Inspector Notes
Located on picturesque Goat Island, many of the hotel's coastal-inspired guest rooms offer views of the harbor, marina and downtown Newport. A scenic water taxi can get you downtown in the summer. Inviting public areas with large picturesque windows enhance the views while a tiered deck with fire pits and an expansive bar are peaceful spots to watch the sunset over the harbor. A kid’s club with arcade games and seasonal supervised activities are popular with families while adults will appreciate the amazing full-service spa, which has the city's only water-view couples room. Electric car charging stations are on site. Plan your stay around the property's unique seasonal activities which may include a breakfast with Santa and more. Smoke free premises. 258 units, some two bedrooms. 3-9 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Hello, We are happy to see you had a 5-star review. Regards, Chuck
I was charged $50 per day for "recreational facilities". I used no recreational facilities nor was I told at anytime that I would automatically be charged. I paid it without argument but feel the Hotel should be up-front about this charge from the onset or if everyone is going to be charged, it should just be included in the "rate". I've stayed there many times when it was the Hyatt and also Gurney and never charged so this was a surprise. Peace, Bruce Erwin Johnson
Hotel lobby and area is nice but I can that the room needs work. You can tell that they tried by repainting the flaws on the ceiling, caulking the black mold in the bathtub, not installing newer vents, and replacing the furniture with modern looking ones. It’s pretty much “putting lipstick on a pig” . I was wondering why the hotel rooms were not as expensive if it was a four star hotel. Now I know why! Overall we enjoyed ourselves but the room was so tiny and needed some update.
