Apparently with the issues of labor shortages or with fewer services, the hotel never once cleaned our room. I have seen this with other hotels around the country. What I did not like was the $32 per day resort fee added at checkout. Because no hotel amenities were used other than the restaurant and room and with no room cleaning service, this was unfortunate. I know this is common but it was never disclosed as check in.
When I checked into the hotel I was hit with a $30 resort fee which I thought I has already paid. Upon checking my confirmation email I noticed I did pay a resort fee. When showing the staff member the confirmation she stated that it was a different resort fee amount and that I needed to contact AAA. When checking with AAA they stated that the resort fees they collect go directly to the hotel. I have paid 2 resort fees and have gotten 2 different stories. Who's telling the truth? It's very frustrating and price gouging to collect 2 resort fees. Then to top it all off - when I checked out I was slapped with a parking fee. NO one ever mentioned that there was a parking fee. I don't mind paying the fee - just don't spring it on me without warning!! Also several of the staff members were unpleasant to deal with. Overall the room itself was very nice.
