Baymont Mobile I 65

Our group stayed in rooms 130 and 131 at this hotel and it was by far the worst place that we have ever stayed. I know that rooms have a “worn” look sometimes, but this place was flat out filthy dirty. Both rooms were equally dirty and filthy. Our room (131) looked like it had been part is a recent crime scene. There was evidence where the door had been kicked-in, the chain lock broken, and blood splatter on the wall. There was a refrigerator in the unit, but it was unsuitable for use because it smelled like rotting fish and had dead bugs in it. A coffee maker was listed as one of the amenities, but it was non-existent, along with the TV remote. When I asked the front clerk about the remote, I was told “some rooms have ‘‘em and some don’t” In addition, the shower curtain was filthy and moldy and the bathroom door was askew on its hinges and would not close properly. We booked this room through AAA and were under the assumption that a hotel had to reach certain standards to be included on their site. After staying here and then contacting AAA to complain, we were told that they work with a third party booking agent, so there was nothing they could do and they had no control over the hotels that they list. I believe this will be my last time using AAA. Upon check out, I suggested to the manager that he should take a little more pride in his hotel and his rooms.
