Campground Overview

Located in Gatesville, Texas, Shining Star RV Park features back in, pull thru full 50 amp water, electric and sewer sites. There are many things to do within the surrounding area such as boating, kayaking and fishing as Lake Belton is a short 7 mile drive and Mother Neff State Park being 8. Visitors can take advantage of the short drive to Waco to visit Magnolia Farms. Amenities at the park include laundry, restroom and shower facilities, trash services and WiFi to name a few. Area Tips

There is a lot to do in the surrounding area.  Boating, kayaking and fishing are only 7 miles away on Lake Belton.  Beautiful hiking can be done at Mother Neff State Park only 8 miles away.  Take advantage of a short drive to Waco and visit Magnolia Farms.  Waco is only 40 minutes up the highway.  There is easy access to Temple, Gatesville and the north gate of Fort Hood.  Plus much much more.  Come and enjoy the green hills of Texas and the county living.

Rules

Site Appearance & Sanitary discharging

All sewer and/or gray water must be free from leaks and have a sewer connection (sewer collar/donut) or threaded attachment into the sewer. The must be kept closed. No black or grey water is to come in contact with the ground. Do not wash autos or RV’s at your site. Vehicle fluid changes are not authorized at sites. All personal equipment must be kept neat and tidy within your assigned site. All trashed must be bagged and deposited in the dumpsters. Our guests are responsible for taking their trash to the dumpsters. RV’s must be in good condition and well maintained. No more than 2 storage containers are allowed on your site. They must be stored under your RV and maintain a neat appearance. Outdoor items should be neat and orderly. Mats and satellite dishes should be kept on your pad. Clothes lines, ropes and wires are not permitted. All cords, cables and hoses should be bundled. Only heavy duty, outdoor extension cords are permitted. Skirting is not allowed. Swimming pools and trampolines are not allowed. If you wish to wash your RV there is a fee of $15.00 to do so. Please call the office to notify us. Rules about site appearance are established to maintain a neat and welcoming park for the benefit of ALL guest. Failure to maintain a clean, safe, and trash-free site may result in violations and fines. Repeated abuse may result in you being asked to leave out RV Park. 1st Violation $15.00 fine 2nd Violation $25.00 fine 3rd Violation $50.00 fine 4th Violation you will be asked to leave Shining Star RV Park

Traffic and Parking Rules

Speed limit is 5 MPH inside the RV park. Drivers must obey traffic signs and operate their vehicles in accordance with posted regulation and applicable Federal and State laws. You may only park in the site assigned to you and please do not drive or park on our grass. Only two personal vehicles per RV/Trailer space are allowed and only in the designated area. Additional parking must be coordinated with the office. Sites that appear to be vacant may have a reservation and should not be used for additional parking. Parking in vacant RV sites or parking spaces will result in being charge the daily rate and/or the vehicle being towed at the owner’s expense. Please stay on the roads at all times. All vehicles must park withing the parameters of the RV site to avoid disrupting the flow of traffic.

Utilites and Power

If your utilities are not working, please contact the office immediately. Do not use the utilities at an adjacent site. If we are unable to remedy the situation, we will direct you to an alternate site. During winter months, it is your responsibility to insulate (heat tape) all water pipes from the ground up to the RV. : At no time may an electrical cord be stretched to another site, vehicle or trailer. They may only be used in the space assigned to you. No multiple tie ins are allowed. All power cords must be in good condition and not interfere with foot traffic.

RV and Vechicles

Management reserves the right to refuse service to any RV based on its appearance and/or condition. If your RV is 12 years or older, pictures are required for approval prior to confirmation of reservation. All vehicle’s, including RV, must have current registration, inspection, insurance and license plates. All vehicles must be in operational condition. All mechanical repairs, whether to vehicle or RV, must be performed off RV Park premises, unless prior arrangements are made with management. Semi trucks, flatbed/other trailers, ATV’s and boats are to be stored elsewhere. We do offer discounts at our storage facility. Please refrain from flushing paper towels, diapers, baby wipes, feminine products, condoms, needles, food, grease, Clorox wipes or anything other than RV safe toilet paper. This applies to the laundry room as well.

You may only park in the site assigned to you and please do not drive or park on our grass. Only one personal vehicle per RV/Trailer space is allowed and only in the designated area. Additional parking must be coordinated with the office. Any unattended personal vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense. Please stay on the roads at all times. Registration/Check-In/Behavior

Payment is required at the time of registration. For our guests staying 30 days or more a deposit of $100.00 is required at time of check in. Please call for availibity on long term stays. Children and pets, we love both. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please keep your pet leashed at all times and under control. Please keep your pets in view when outside at all times. Everyone is expected to clean up after their pets and dispose of it properly. Barking dogs who are disruptive to neighbors may impact your ability to stay at our park. Guests must be respectful of all guest in the park. Drugs, fighting, lewd conduct, reckless driving, speeding, explosives, fireworks, and the discharging of firearms is not permitted at any time. Loud music which is defined as disturbing others is not permitted. Quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 7:00am daily. Please be considerate of others so that all may enjoy the park.
