Held in mid- or late April, the Henderson Heritage Parade and Festival offers live entertainment, ethnic food booths, dance, a parade and a car show.

The 35-mile-long River Mountains Loop Trail connects Lake Mead National Recreation Area, the Hoover Dam, Henderson and Boulder City. Hikers, bicyclists and horseback riders are treated to views of Lake Mead, Las Vegas and the River Mountains; wildlife spottings include bighorn sheep and desert tortoises. Trailheads are at Equestrian Park, 1699 Equestrian Drive; Calico Ridge on Golda Way; and just south of the Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino at 2800 S. Boulder Hwy. Phone (702) 267-4000.
