The award winning Great Western Greenway is the no 1 Outdoor activity in westport.The route is a safe off road cycle track 43 km. ( 27 miles) from Westport to Achill Island on the wild Atlantic way travel through Newport Mullranny. cross the bog lands along the Achill coast. Park and lock bikes at the Achill Island Hotel. Return to Westport, 500m across the bridge take bus back to Westport at 3pm or 5pm. (4pm sundays) 50 min. 8e pp.
