The hotel quality is great. New. Clean. It has a resort feel. The building was designed to give almost every room at least a partial ocean view. The large patio area allows groups of all sizes to hang out. Without the oceanview, the rooms are similar to an extended stay time establishment that is usually at the lower end of the design. Despite being a new building, they did not design it with self parking. The parking staff seems ready, attentive and polite, but I like to have access to my car any time. I chose to play the street parking game rather than pay $45 for a service I do not want. I would have paid the $45 if I could have parked my own car and had access to it. More sun cover on patio. Move the closed coffee display so it does not block the ocean view. At least place it sideways. Fix the fire pit that keep going out. Everyone acted as if it was a new issue when it was going out for the entire week. Put a water dispenser on the first floor. Getting water and ice requred trips to different floors and the limited access caused ice to run out on the only working floor. Part of managing a business is noticing when basic functions are not working. Have coffee early. Label is correctly. Make signage clear and when you decide to take the old coffee and start charging for it, make it simple to pay for. Or just do not charge for morning coffee you do not bring out until late. There are a lot of staff in the restaurance area but a lot of tasks take a lot of time and seem to confuse the staff. Note that staff we engaged with were very friendly and did care, even of they were busy resolving problems that result from bad management. Often the only person at the front desk was a person with a headset on that did not make eye contact and always looked like she was doing something else. The full resort fee is charged every day of the year, even though most of the listed services are not available or not practical half the year. Just pick a price and charge it. It is a new, well-located place. The price is what it is, or should be. Overall, if money is no object or you have a special celebration, this is an amazing location and you should love it. The best rooms have beach facing patios. I stayed here mainly because it was a special visit from east coast family and we watched this place get built for years and wanted to try it out.
Just steps away to the beach, very clean. My only complaint is there’s no microwave to warm our food as our so. Has to eat mostly gluten free food as much as possible. Valet are courteous.
