Holiday Inn Express & Suites

On long road trips of thousands of miles, I almost always stay in Holiday Inn Express, if available for a few reasons: Good breakfasts, close to freeway-so really easy to find, laundry facilities for guests, clean and comfortable lodgings at a decent price. I've had MONTHS-worth of experience of staying in these hotels. It was SHOCKING that this hotel front desk personnel was unable to take outgoing mail because they didn't know if the mailman would accept it; there was no 'Outgoing Mailbox' in the lobby. I inquired, on a Friday, whether the mail was delivered on Saturdays, in general, in the town, as I wanted to get something mailed before the weekend, again, no clue. At this point, one of them called their boss for an answer, and the boss didn't know. Being from out of state, I thought maybe they didn't have mail service on Saturdays. I asked if they received mail at their own living facilities on Saturdays. No idea. When asked where the nearest blue USPS mailbox was, they had no idea. I later stumbled upon one accidentally, in their own parking lot, not one hundred yards from their portico. Later, when attempting to change dollar bills into quarters, to operate the washer and dryer, they were unable to do so. They had neither quarters nor a change machine. I felt that I was in the Twilight Zone. No matter what was asked, they could not answer. They did not seem chemically impaired, but it is simply IMPOSSIBLE for me to believe this hotel chain would hire such an incognizant staff for such a key position of greeting the public. These occurrences made me wonder what was in store for me at my next night's stay, in a different town, but Holiday Inn Express, of course. NO WORRIES! Back to par excellence with regard to reception staff. Prominently displayed on the check-in desk was an 'Outgoing Mailbox'. PHEW! Moral of the Story: I hope you don't need ANY questions answered at the front desk!

Clean room, ac unit was quite. Nice sheets. Comfortable. Good staff
