The location of the hotel was perfect for the things we were going to do in San Diego. The rooms were nicely appointed and there was a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker in the room. The room was clean (with the exception listed below). Here are the things we didn't like: 1. We called the front desk on more than one occasion and they didn't answer the phone when we called from the room. We had to walk down to the desk to get help. 2. When trying to sign into the WiFi, only unsecured WiFi was available. 3. The front desk said they'd send a technician to our room to help us connect but the technician never arrived. 4. The original room we were given had a backed up and overflowing sink-and we had to change rooms. We were told to come back down to the lobby with our luggage and exchange keys. Also, the original room was at the very end of the hall as far away from the elevator as possible and the new room was much closer to the elevator. Given that we're both seniors the closer room would have been better for us. 5. The breakfast "buffet" was $24 with a minimal choice of items (scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage and fried potatoes then a choice of breads, cereals, coffee and juice) and wasn't included in the price of the room. 6. If we wanted to park overnight in the parking lot there was an additional fee of $25/night. We were told we could park on the street right next to parking lot area for free. There wasn't a difference in terms of security between the street and the lot as the lot was not patrolled.
