I've stayed in a few Comfort Inns (and other dog friendly accommodations) as I drove across the country and back this month with my 8lb schnoodle. The Comfort Inns were definitely the best place to stay. Aside being clean, stylish and functional for humans this chain is very considerate of the needs of dogs as well. The pet friendly rooms are in a side hall on the main floor with a convenient side entry/exit for taking dogs outside to potty without their human having to dress up for the lobby(lol). There is a potty area not far from this side door and a key card re-entry method for returning to the building. Usually there is a trash can outside near the side door but not always. At this location the dumpster was near the side entrance but that's not ideal. This is one small thing that could be improved. The other suggestion I would make is to have a grab and go option for the complimentary breakfast since I can't take my dog with me into the breakfast room (for health code reasons), and I can't leave her alone in the room while I pick up breakfast since she would panic-bark thinking she was being abandoned in a strange place. A "grab and go" breakfast option could be near the check-out desk or main entry and could be as simple as a bowl of fruit, granola bars, or muffins plus a water bottle. Busy travelers on epic road trips without their four legged companions may also appreciate this offering. hese simple changes. Anyways, for me these two additions (grab and go breakfast, and trash can near pet entrance) would take my favorite place to stay from a 4 out of 5 to a 5 out of 5! Well done!
