Route 66 Association Hall of Fame & Museum is at 110 W. Howard St. Memorabilia celebrating the historic Route 66 is featured at the hall of fame. Items on display include license plates, maps, photographs and stamps. Exhibits include a collection of items from Bob Waldmire, well-known for his Route 66 artwork. The 1972 Volkswagen van he drove on the famous route is on display along with the converted school bus he lived in. The Life in the 1940s display depicts what life was like during the era. Another exhibit celebrates the work of muralists and advertisement designers known as “Walldogs” who traveled throughout the country painting commissioned murals. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
