Oren Dunn City Museum is at 689 Rutherford Rd. Housed in a 1937 dairy barn, it contains exhibits describing northeastern Mississippi’s heritage and history. Buildings and vehicles on the grounds include an 1870s dogtrot cabin, a 1948 Lee County Book Mobile, two vintage fire trucks and a Memphis trolley car that served for years as a diner. A stained-glass window depicting a Natchez Trace post rider also is displayed. Festivals are held on the grounds in May and October. Take advantage of the walking trails and recreational activities at nearby Ballard Park. Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
