Amelia Island Museum of History, 233 S. Third St., is in Nassau County's former jailhouse. The museum explores 4,000 years of area history through interactive exhibits featuring oral interviews, photographs and artifacts. A guided tour tells of the eight nations whose flags have flown over its harbor. Themed tours and a self-guiding cell phone tour also are available. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
