Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site

Excavators unearthed the foundations of the Bourgeois House, palisades, bastions, a Native American trade house, an icehouse and other structures. The trade house has been rebuilt and furnished as it might have appeared in the early 1850s. The fort's walls and bastions also have been reconstructed. A visitor center in the reconstructed Bourgeois House features exhibits about the fort and the fur trade.
