More than one-third of the land provides pasture for beef and dairy cattle. The remaining area is used for camping, hiking on the 33-mile trail system, horseback riding, fishing and hunting. Midsummer draws blueberry pickers, and winter attracts cross-country skiers and snowmobilers to the gently rolling hillsides. The Forest Service office is about 9 miles north of Watkins Glen at 5218 SR 414; the office is open weekdays 8-4:30. Free.
