Concord Mills Mall (north on I-85 to exit 49 at 8111 Concord Mills Blvd.) has places to eat and more than 140 stores from which to choose.
Though more of a food hall than a mall, 7th Street Public Market (224 E. 7th St.) does offer a variety of goods in addition to food places. One free-standing shop, CLT Find, just might be where to buy your Charlotte souvenirs since they're made by local artisans. (This shop is one of several sprinkled around the city but might be the most convenient if you're near the museums in Uptown.)
