Mount Locust is 15 mi. n.e. of Natchez, Miss., at Milepost 15.5. Built in 1779, the inn was a popular stop for travelers on the Natchez Trace in the mid-1800s. It now contains historical exhibits. Rangers give informative talks regarding Mount Locust, the Old Trace and its modern counterpart, the Natchez Trace Parkway. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
